     James Edward Updegraff was born on 17 August 1897.1,2 He was the son of Clyde H. Updegraff and Margaret R. Lewis.1 James Edward Updegraff married, at age 22, Sarah Lydia Speck, age 23 on Friday, 11 June 1920.1 James Edward Updegraff died in August 1980 at age 82 years and 11 months.2
