Clifton L. Cohick was born on 7 January 1932 at Cohick Lane, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Lloyd Montgomery Cohick and Sarah Emma Confair.1 Clifton L. Cohick married, at age 19, Nancy C. Mattern, age 19 on Saturday, 22 December 1951.1 Clifton L. Cohick died on 10 September 2002 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 70 years, 8 months and 3 days.1,2 He was buried on 14 September 2002 in the Woodward Township Cemetery, located in Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend James W. Kasler.1
His obituary was published on 11 September 2002 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Clifton L. Cohick, 70, of 287 Cohick Lane, Jersey Shore, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002 at the Williamsport Hospital. He and his wife, the former Nancy C. Mattern, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 22, 2001.
Cliff retired from Centre Concrete, Montoursville, in 1991 following 25 years of service. Cliff enjoyed farming following his retirement and was an avid deer hunter.
Born at his home on Cohick Lane on Jan. 7, 1932, he was a son of Lloyd M. and Sarah E. Confair Cohick.
Surviving, besides his wife, are daughters Sherry Spong of Linden, Linda (Richard) Hughes of Jersey Shore, and Cindy (Jack) Long of Trout Run; sons Wayne (Rose), Roger (Penny), and Richard (Denise), all of Jersey Shore; brother Calvin Cohick, of city; sisters Cathryn Smith and Gladys Schweikart, both of Linden; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A brother, Clair R. Cohick, preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Knight-Confer s, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. James Kasler officiating. Interment in Woodward Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 to 11 a.m. the day of the service.1
