     Alec Payne Updegraff was born on 21 August 1912 at Arrowrock, Boise County, Idaho.1 He was the son of Frederick William Updegraff and Eleanor C. Grosvenor.2 Alec Payne Updegraff married, at age 26, Marguerite M. Collins, daughter of Richard F. Collins and Harriet M. Sitzer, on Saturday, 4 February 1939 at Elmira, Chemung County, New York.2 Alec Payne Updegraff died on 26 May 1968 at age 55 years, 9 months and 5 days.1
     Alec attended Weymouth College, Dorsetshire, England.2 He was employed by Chemung Canal Trust Company as an executive
Vice-President.2
