     Ellis L. Updegrove was born on 18 December 1810.1 He was the son of Jacob Updegrove and Martha Fowler.1 Ellis L. Updegrove married, at age 22, Juliana Schaeffer on Monday, 3 June 1833 by the Reverend [—?—] Lochman in a Lutheran Ceremony.1 Ellis L. Updegrove died on 7 April 1851 at age 40 years, 3 months and 20 days.1
     He was a carpenter.1
