     Wilbur E. Merrill was born on 24 February 1920 at Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Samuel H. Merrill and Laura Ulrich. Wilbur E. Merrill married, at age 25, Grace Marion Ulmer, age 21, daughter of Nelson Waltz Ulmer and Mary Louise Fisher, on Monday, 31 December 1945.2 Wilbur E. Merrill died on 10 October 1988 at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 68 years, 7 months and 16 days.2,1 He was buried in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
     Grace Marion Ulmer's obituary on 24 December 2002 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, stated that Wilbur E. Merrill was her husband and preceeded her in death.2
