James Emerson Edwards was born on 11 February 1927 at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,3 He was the son of Emerson Ebner Edwards and Hazel Louella Getgen. James Emerson Edwards married, at age 19, Bertha May Paulhamus, daughter of Ezra Cleveland Paulhamus and Mable Catherine Wurster, on Tuesday, 18 June 1946 at Saint John's Chapel Evangelical United Brethren Church, Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Herbert Samuel Entz.1 James Emerson Edwards died on 8 March 1999 at Trout Run, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 72 years and 25 days.2,3 He was buried on 11 March 1999 in the Steam Valley Community Cemetery, located in Cogan House Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
