     Cecil Newton Whitaker was born on 27 May 1851 at Cecil County, Maryland.1 He was the son of George Price Whitaker and Eliza Ann Simmons. Cecil Newton Whitaker married, at age 20, Mary Elizabeth McDowell, age 19 on Thursday, 12 October 1871 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.1 Cecil Newton Whitaker died on 5 April 1883 at age 31 years, 10 months and 9 days. He drowned during a storm.1 He was buried Saint Mark's Episcopal Cemetery, Perryville, Cecil County, Maryland.1
