Isaac Updegrove

M, (20 February 1784 - 6 May 1857)
     Isaac Updegrove was born on 20 February 1784.1 He was the son of Isaac Updegrove and Elinor Ellis.2 Isaac Updegrove married Isabella McGonigal in 1804.3 Isaac Updegrove died on 6 May 1857 at age 73 years, 2 months and 16 days.3
     Isaac was a Private in the Harrisburg Volunteers, 1st Company, 1st Regiment, 1st Brigade, Pennsylvania Militia under the command of Col. Maxwell Kennedy, York, Pennsylvania September 5, 1814. Muster Roll Infantry command by Captain Thomas Walker, as was his brother Ellis. He volunteered at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and was honorably discharged there.

Isaac made application for Bounty Land on Feburary 28, 1852, which he received. Land Warrant No. 62.438 for 40 acres, which he disposed of prior to April 14, 1855, at which time he made another application for an additional Bounty Land to which he could be entitled under the Act approved March 3, 1855.
