Margaret Christina Stabler was born on 7 June 1899 at farm of Pierce Albert Stabler, Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,1 She was the daughter of Pierce Albert Stabler and Mary Elizabeth Ulmer. Margaret Christina Stabler married, at age 24, Bernard Wilson Bair, age 22, son of Lloyd Bair and Della Kennedy, on Tuesday, 25 September 1923. Margaret Christina Stabler died on 8 November 1980 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 81 years, 5 months and 1 day. She died from kidney failure.2,1 She was buried on 11 November 1980 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Harold E. Miller.2
She was an avid Democrat in her politics. Her obituary was published sometime in November 1980 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
BAIR - Margaret C. Bair, 81, of Cogan Station RD 2, died Saturday, November 8, 1980, in Williamsport Hospital.
She was a member of Quiggleville United Methodist Church. She had been employed as a cook at the former Clau Klosson's nursing home in Williamsport and at Bair's Truck Stop in Hepburnville.
Surviving are a husband, Bernard, and a brother, Fred Stabler, of Jersey Shore RD 3.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Sander's funeral home, 821 Diamond Street, with the Rev. Harold Miller, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. The family will provide the flowers. Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of the church. According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Margaret's last known residence was Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
