Jeannine Balog was born on 7 October 1920.1 She married, at age 43, Donald E. Ulmer, age 45, son of Mahlon F. Ulmer and Elizabeth H. Smithgall, on Monday, 3 August 1964.2 Jeannine Balog died on 5 September 2001 at age 80 years, 10 months and 29 days.1,2 She was buried on 28 September 2001 in the Rock Creek Cemetery, located in Washington, District of Columbia.2
She and Donald E. Ulmer have no children. She was widowed at age 63 by the death of Donald in January 1984.3 Her obituary was published on 25 September 2001 in the The Washington Post, printed in Washington, District of Columbia. Her obituary stated:
JEANNINE B. ULMER former wife of Judge George Nelson of the D.C. Superior Court died on Tuesday, September 5, 2001 at the Alexandria Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Ulmer and her daughter, Stephanie Nielson. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Old Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3515 N. St., N.W., Washington, D.C. at 10 a.m. Friday, September 28. Interment will be in Rock Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Northern Virginia Hospital, P.O. Box 1576, Merrifield, VA 22116.2 The Social Security Death Index gives the last residence of record for Jeannine as Washington, District of Columbia.1
