Thelma L. Stabler

     Thelma L. Stabler was born on 25 October 1920 at Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.^1,2 She was the daughter of Frank A. Stabler and Florence U. Taylor. Thelma L. Stabler married, at age 17, Myron L. Welch, age 19, son of Fred Welch and Effie Wurster, on Saturday, 12 February 1938 at 1535 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Howard L. Krause.³ Thelma L. Stabler died on 21 December 1995 at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 75 years, 1 month and 26 days.^4,2 She was buried on 23 December 1995 in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.⁴

Mrs. Thelma L. Welch, 75, of Linden RR 2 died Thursday, December 21, 1995, in Divine Providence Hospital. She and her husband, Myron L. Welch were married for 57 years.

Retired, she had been employed by GTE Sylvania for 30 years. She was a member of the Sylvania Century Club. She attended Buchanan Baptist Church. She was born October 25, 1920, in Linden, she was a daughter of Frank and Florence
Laylon Stabler.

Surviving, besides her husband, are four daughters, Donna Pepperman, and Glee Spring, both of Williamsport, Ruby Derr of Cogan Station and Carol Verdini of Linden; two sons, Paul and Frank both of Linden; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was employed by GTE Sylvania.
