     Francis W. Levan was born on 22 March 1842 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Edward Levan and Jane Vanderbilt Stabb.1 Francis W. Levan first married Agnes McManigal in 1863.2,1 Francis W. Levan married a second time Martha Ann Thompson, daughter of John Thompson and Susan Updegraff, circa 1871.2,1 Francis W. Levan died on 15 October 1920 at Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 78 years, 6 months and 23 days.1
