Vanhorn.2 Lavern Elwin Gardner married, at age 21, Betty B. Blackwell, daughter of David Blackwell and Alta [—?—], on Monday, 16 September 1946 at Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.3 Lavern Elwin Gardner died on 7 September 1993 at age 68 years, 9 months and 16 days.1
     He was was in the Air Force, and then was a mill foreman for Gold Bond Building Products National Gypsum Company.3 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Lavern's last known residence was Anthony, Harper County, Kansas.1
