Walter Everett Stratton

     Walter Everett Stratton was born on 15 March 1922 at Raymond, Lancaster County, Nebraska.¹ He was the son of Isaiah J. Stratton and Yvonne Marie Pavard.¹ Walter Everett Stratton married, at age 28, Patricia Ann Metcalf, age 22, daughter of John L. Metcalf and Verna Y. [—?—], on Friday, 17 March 1950 at Casper, Natrona County, Wyoming.¹ Walter Everett Stratton died on 7 September 1994 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, at age 72 years, 5 months and 23 days.¹
     He served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He has received the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts and helped to establish a scholarship for women's athletics at Casper College, Casper, Wyoming.¹ He was operated a hardware store circa 1966.¹
