Stratton married, at age 51, Laura Christensen Hemmingsen on Sunday, 5 June 1949 at Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska.1 Isaiah J. Stratton died on 3 June 1996 at Fairfield, Clay County, Nebraska, at age 98 years, 6 months and 22 days.1 He was buried on 6 June 1996 Fairfield, Clay County, Nebraska.1
