Williamson died on 27 May 1976 at Vanscoy, Saskatchewan Province, Canada, at age 82 years, 6 months and 17 days. He was buried in the Pas Manitoba Cemetery, located in Canada.
He and his wife Alvina, moved to Canada in 1941. There he farmed in the Vanscoy district for 32 years. He also worked for the City's Park Department for 11 years prior to his retirement. He and Esther May Stoltz had no children.
