Raymond Walter Murphy was born on 16 July 1913 at Broken Bow, Custer County, Nebraska.1,2 He was the son of Ray C. Murphy and Alice Maude Morrison.1 Raymond Walter Murphy first married, at age 24, Gwendolyn Gwinn, daughter of Lawrence Gwinn and Gladys [—?—], on Friday, 3 September 1937 at Denver, Denver County, Colorado.1 Raymond Walter Murphy married a second time Lois Myers Bain after 1968.1 Raymond Walter Murphy died on 23 February 2007 at age 93 years, 7 months and 7 days.2

Raymond Walter Murphy, 93, of Loveland, passed away Friday, Feb. 23, 2007.
He was born on July 16, 1913, to Ray Murphy and Alice Morrison in Broken Bow, Neb. He attended schools in Nebraska and Denver, graduating from the University of Denver.
Raymond lived in Denver and Greeley before moving to Loveland in 1976. He worked in various areas of finance, construction, banking and accounting. His last career was as the contract administrator for the city of Aurora, where he worked for 25 years.
He was a member of the Mountain View Presbyterian Church, a past Mason, member of the Elks, and a past vice president of the Greeley Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed working on his home, reading and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Ladora Murphy of Loveland; daughters, Janet and husband Richard Mantooth and Judy and husband Ed Landen and stepchildren; 16 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first and second wives; two brothers and one sister.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Allnutt-Hunter Chapel with a reception to follow in Allnutt's Reception Center. Burial is at 2 p.m. at Fairmont Cemetery in Denver.
