Frank M. Kiess was born on 26 August 1913.1 He was the son of Verus M. Kiess and Madoria Carvell. Frank M. Kiess married Jane B. Jenkins circa 1940. Frank M. Kiess died on 28 January 2002 at age 88 years, 5 months and 2 days.1 He was buried in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
His obituary was published on 6 February 2002 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Frank M. Kiess, 88, of Dartmouth, MA, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, after a long illness. He was the widower of Jane B. Jenkins Kiess.
Born in Williamsport, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Verus Kiess, he had lived in Dartmouth since May of 1999, having moved there with Jane to be closer to his family.
Mr. Kiess was a branch manager for Industrial Products of the Anheuser-Busch Company. He was past president of the Loyalsock Men s Club and served on the planning commission. He deeply loved the Loyalsock and greater Williamsport areas and never considered living elsewhere until 1999. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Robert Kiess of Dartmouth, MA; daughter-in-law, Doris Kiess; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and his brother, Donald Kiess of Selinsgrove.
Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery at the family s convenience.
