Elwood L. Liddick was born on 14 February 1943 at Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Clarence Robert Liddick and Alice Catherine Metzger.1 Elwood L. Liddick married, at age 29, Karen E. Caldwell on Saturday, 23 September 1972.1 Elwood L. Liddick died on 9 November 2006 at Salladasburg, Mifflin Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 63 years, 8 months and 26 days.1 He was buried on 13 November 2006 in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend George C. Grossman and Pastor Joey A. Fleck.1
His obituary was published on 11 November 2006 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Elwood L. Liddick, 63, of 481 Main St., Salladasburg, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at his home surrounded by his family following a brief illness.
Elwood and his wife, the former Karen E. Caldwell, celebrated their 34th anniversary Sept. 23.
Elwood worked for Lycoming Supply for 31 years and prior to that he worked for the Williamsport Water Authority. He served in the Army reserves, attended Walnut Street Baptist Church, Jersey Shore, was a life member of the NRA and was a NASCAR enthusiast. He enjoyed reading and the outdoors, especially the beauty of seeing and being in the outdoors. He was proud of his children’s accomplishments and loved his grandchildren.
Born Feb. 14, 1943, in Linden, he was the son of Clarence R. and Alice C. Metzger Liddick.
Left to cherish his memory besides his wife are a son, Mark B. (Amy) of Rauchtown; a daughter, Amy L. (A. Mark) Grimes of Cogan Station; a brother, Floyd S. (Lois) of Williamsport; grandchildren, Emily and Mason Liddick; a step-granddaughter, Renee Grimes and several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Knight-Confer’s, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. George C. Grossman and Pastor Joey A. Fleck officiating. Burial will be in Buchanan Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Donations may be made to the Susquehanna Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport.1
