Rita Marie Ruhl

Rita Marie Ruhl was born on 8 August 1911 at Swengel, Union County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Lester D. Ruhl and Mary Levina Spigelmyer. Rita Marie Ruhl married, at age 31, Bruce L. Waltz, age 35, son of James A. Waltz and Josephine B. Lundy, on Wednesday, 7 July 1943.2 Rita Marie Ruhl died on 29 April 2001 at Williamsport Home, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 89 years, 8 months and 21 days.1 She was buried on 1 May 2001 in the Montoursville Cemetery, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
Her obituary was published on 30 April 2001 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Rita Marie Waltz, 89, 1900 Ravine Road, Williamsport, PA, and formerly of Reed St., Williamsport, died Sunday, April 29, 2001 at the Williamsport Home. She was the widow of the late Bruce L. Waltz, who preceded her in death on March 27, 1996. Mrs. Waltz was employed as a nurse's aide at the former Lysock View Nursing Home and had also been a cafeteria worker at the Loyalsock High School. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport, PA and was a graduate of the Mifflinburg High School.

She was preceded in death by a son, James David Waltz.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 South Howard St., South Williamsport, PA with the Rev. Dr. J. Jeffrey Zetto, pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church, Montoursville, PA, officiating. Interment will be at Montoursville Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Noll's, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport.3
