Gladys M. Brubaker was born on 4 August 1917.2,1 She married, at age 30, A. Kiess Gohl, son of Archie L. Gohl and Margaret G. Kiess, on Saturday, 17 April 1948.2 Gladys M. Brubaker died on 9 February 2004 at age 86 years, 6 months and 5 days.1
Her obituary was published on 12 February 2004 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Gladys M. Gohl, 86, of 831 Krape Ave., Williamsport, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, in the Manor Care South Health Center in Williamsport.
Born Aug. 4, 1917, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Lloyd Brubaker and the former Phoebe Wanick. Her husband A. Kiess Gohl preceded her in death March 24, 1978. They were united in marriage April 17, 1948.
For many years, she was a member of the Larryville United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Williamsport.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney K. Gohl of Montgomery and Terry W. Gohl of Jersey Shore; three grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Francis of Elimsport.
A daughter, Barbara A. Gohl preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Rev. Thomas J. Fetterolf her pastor will officiate.3
