Grace M. Welch was born on 26 August 1937 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Alan Richard Welch and Alta Lorraine Eder. Grace M. Welch married, at age 24, Max Leroy Pepperman, age 27, son of William Harry Pepperman and Edna Confair, on Sunday, 3 December 1961. Grace M. Welch died on 11 November 2002 at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 65 years, 2 months and 16 days.1 She was buried on 15 November 2002 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
Her obituary was published on 13 November 2002 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Grace M. Pepperman, 65, of 519 Zinck Road, Jersey Shore, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at home, following a lengthy illness. Her husband, Max L., died Sept. 13, 1989.
Grace had worked for Staff Builders, was a graduate of Williamsport High School and an avid bowler. Born Aug. 26, 1937, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Allen and Alta Eder Welch.
Surviving are sons Ernest L. of Jersey Shore, Dean C., Melvin L. and Ricky W., all of Linden, and Rodney L., with whom she lived; brothers Merlin Welch of Chautta, Ga. and Gordon Welch of Hughesville; sisters Katheryn Fisher of Salladasburg, Agnes Davis of Williamsport, Margaret Pepperman of Aurburdale, Fla., Florence Reed of Linden and Sara Hampton of Montgomery; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Welch, and a sister, Lois Boring.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Knight-Confer s, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. Ronald O. Doan officiating. Burial in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
The family suggests donations be made to the Susquehanna Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701 or Faxon Kenmar U. M. Church, 1301 Clayton Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701.2
