Edna Confair was born on 20 October 1900.1 She was the daughter of William Henry Confair and Martha Jane Smith. Edna Confair married, at age 22, William Harry Pepperman, age 22, son of James M. Pepperman and Alice Mary Kiess, on Wednesday, 8 November 1922 at Quiggleville, Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Edna Confair died on 18 December 1999 at age 99 years, 1 month and 28 days.1 She was buried on 22 December 1999 in the Saint John's Chapel Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
Her obituary was published on 20 December 1999 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Edna C. Pepperman, 99, formerly of Linden, died Sunday Dec. 19, 1999, at Manor Care Health Systems South.
She was a member of the St. John's Chapel United Methodist Church, Linden. She enjoyed patchwork, crocheting, and gardening.
Born, Oct. 20, 1900 in Mifflin Township, Lycoming County, she was a daughter of Henry W. and Martha Reibsom Confair.
Surviving are two sons, Harry William Pepperman of Clearfield, and Henry J. Pepperman of Aberdale, Fla; two sisters [daughters], Myrtle Viola Bowden of Louisburg, N.C. and Maxine E. Allen of Trout Run; 29 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and several step-great-great grandchildren. She also raised many foster children. She was predeceased by her husband, William A. Pepperman; two sons, Max L. Pepperman and Carl E. Pepperman; and a daughter, Geraldine Middaugh.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with Dr. Kenneth H. Balliet, pastor of the Williamsport Christian Center officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. at Knight-Confer's 1914 Memorial Avenue.2 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Edna's last known residence was Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
