     William F. Walters was born on 6 July 1908 at Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,1,3 He was the son of Frederick W. Walters and Pearl Rosencrance.3 William F. Walters married, at age 37, Letha Alice Paulhamus, daughter of Elmer E. Paulhamus and Annie Kiess Pepperman, on Saturday, 27 October 1945 at Bethel Methodist Church, Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Lawrence W. Lykens.2,3 William F. Walters died on 21 July 2003 at Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 95 years and 15 days.1,3
     His obituary was published on 22 July 2003 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     William F. Walters, 95, of 798 W. Edwin St., died Monday, July 21, 2003, at Valley View Nursing Center. Born July 6, 1908, in Loyalsock Township, he was the son of Fred W. and Pearl Rosencrance Walters. William and his wife, the former Letha A. Paulhamus celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on Oct. 27.

William retired in 1971 from the Lycoming County Housing Authority. He also had worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Highway, now PennDOT. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. William enjoyed hunting, gardening and fishing. He was a veteran of WW II having served at Normandy, in Northern France, the Rhineland and in Central Europe. He was awarded four Bronze Stars.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three foster children, Maxine Moore Corson of Ariz., Cheryl Ann Myers Golden of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Kelly E. Erhard of Linden; and one sister, Dorothy L. Fullmer of Williamsport.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 717 Kimble Hill Road, Williamsport with Revs. Dr. David A. Keller and Katherine Behrens officiating. Burial will be private in Twin Hills Memorial Park. There will be no viewing. The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contributions in Williams’ memory may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 717 Kimble Hill Road, Williamsport, PA 17701. Kaufman Funeral Home, 2102 Northway Road, is in charge of arrangements.3
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index William's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
