Marlin A. Roller was born on 1 January 1928.1 He was the son of Clyde Allen Roller and Martha M. Deutschle.1 Marlin A. Roller married, at age 29, Elizabeth Louise Huffman, age 32, daughter of Paul Cornelius Huffman and Luella Odem, on Saturday, 17 August 1957.2,3 Marlin A. Roller died on 8 September 2013 at age 85 years, 8 months and 7 days.1 He was buried in the Montoursville Cemetery, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
His obituary was published on 11 September 2013 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Marlin A. Roller, 85, formerly of Cogan Station, died Sunday Sept. 8, 2013, at Rose View Nursing Center, Williamsport.
He was retired from Avco after 40 years. Marlin was born in Williamsport on Jan. 1, 1928, the son of Clyde and Martha Deutchle [Deutschle] Roller.
He was a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was also a member of Dog Run Hunting Club the Trout Run Fire Co. and a member of UAW Local 787. Marlin was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
His wife, Elizabeth L. Roller, preceded him in death June 20, 1995 [1996].
He is survived by his children, David H. Roller of Roswell, Ga., and Iris E. Smith of Reno, Nev; grandchildren, Brady Roller, Rori and Cael Smith; a brother, Clyde Roller, of Florida; and a sister, Mrs. Shirley Horn, of Alaska.2
