Mary E. Frey was born on 5 March 1909 at Morris Run, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of William H. Frey and Sadie Grace Brown.1 Mary E. Frey married Forrest J. Getz, son of Edward Getz and Ida Bidle, circa 1937.1,3 Mary E. Frey died on 20 December 2007 at Roseview Manor, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 98 years, 9 months and 15 days.1,2 She was buried on 26 December 2007 in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Mark R. Messner.1
She was widowed at age 73 by the death of Forrest on 26 January 1983.1,4 Her obituary was published on 22 December 2007 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Mary E. Getz, 98, of 1201 Rural Ave., died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 in RoseView Center. Her husband, Forrest J. Getz, died Jan. 26, 1983.

She was a member, Sunday school teacher and youth leader of State Road United Methodist Church. She was also a charter member of the Salladasburg Senior Citizens. Mary had been a quiller and winder for the former Holmes Silk Mill.
Surviving are five nieces and nephews, Ed, Robert and John Frey, and Barbara Bartlett and Linda Stackhouse.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Frey, and two sisters, Clara Smith and Alice Snyder.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in State Road Church, with the Rev. Mark R. Messner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorials be given to the memorial fund of the church.1 The Social Security Death Index gives the last residence of record for Mary as Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
