Forrest J. Getz was born on 13 June 1911.4,3 He was the son of Edward Getz and Ida Bidle.2 Forrest J. Getz married Mary E. Frey, daughter of William H. Frey and Sadie Grace Brown, circa 1937.1,5 Forrest J. Getz died on 26 January 1983 at Flordia Hospital, Orlando, Orange County, Florida, at age 71 years, 7 months and 13 days.1,3 He was buried on 31 January 1983 in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4
He appeared on the census of 22 March 1920 in the household of Edward Getz and Ida Bidle at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary was published sometime in January 1983 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Forrest J. Getz, 71, of Jersey Shore RD 3, died at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 1983, in Florida Hospital, Orlando, Fla. Mr. Getz was stricken while on vacationing in Florida.
He was a retired plumber.
Mr. Getz was a member of the State Road United Methodist Church and held a number of offices in the church.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mary E. Frey; a brother, Ralph, of this city, and six sisters, Mrs. Fern Hughes, Mrs. Mildred Fisher, Mrs. Lauretta Barber and Mrs. Eleanor Hartman, all of this city, Mrs. Erma Cook, of Naugatuck, Conn., and Mr. Betty Derr, of Jersey Shore.
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Forrest's last known residence was Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
