     Elsie Lear was born on 17 October 1897 at Upper Black Eddy, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Howard Lear and Isabella Wade. Elsie Lear married Clarence E. Getz, son of William H. Getz and Catherine E. Metzger, circa 1933.3,2 Elsie Lear died on 4 September 1996 at Leader Nursing Home, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 98 years, 10 months and 18 days.1 She was buried in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Elsie's last known residence was Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
