Harry Jacob Gehr Jr. was born on 10 March 1924 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Harry Jacob Gehr and Florence Ardella Ulmer. Harry Jacob Gehr Jr. first married, at age 33, Peggy Ann Heim, age 26 on Saturday, 12 October 1957. Harry Jacob Gehr Jr. married a second time, at age 69, Pearl Jane Brelsford, age 70, daughter of Emerson James Brelsford and Sarah Ellen Myers, on Saturday, 23 October 1993. Harry Jacob Gehr Jr. died on 30 March 2005 at Williamsport Home, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 81 years and 20 days.1

Harry J. Gehr, 81, of 902 Weldon St., Montoursville, died March 30, 2005, at the Williamsport Home. Born March 10, 1924, he was the son of Harry J. and Florence Ulmer Gehr.
He attended the Williamsport schools and graduated with the class of 1942. He served in the military during World War II and was an active member of his army unit.
He retired from GTE Sylvania at Halls Station after 45 years of service and was a member of its Quarter Century Club. Harry also enjoyed membership in the Super X Hunting Club and West Branch Motor Boat Association.
He is survived by a son, Robert J. (Stacy) of Montoursville; a brother, Thomas of Fairfax VA; and three grandsons, Lynn J., Tyler J. and Hayden J. Predeceasing him are his first wife, the former Peggy Ann Heim; his second wife, the former Pearl Jane Brelsford; and two brothers, Russell and Allen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with the Rev. Peter C. Wilson of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.1
