Elbert Shirk Tyner

     Elbert Shirk Tyner was born on 7 December 1843 at Blue River Township, Hancock County, Indiana. He was the son of Elijah Tyner and Sarah Halbertadt. Elbert Shirk Tyner married, at age 28, Pearl E. Updegraff, daughter of Martin Updegraff and Pauline Davidson, on Wednesday, 23 October 1872 at Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana. Elbert Shirk Tyner died on 20 August 1902 at Greenfield, Hancock County, Indiana, at age 58 years, 8 months and 13 days.
