     Homer Dement Gandy was born on 27 October 1893 at Hayes Center, Hayes County, Nebraska.1 He was the son of Elmer Lemuel Gandy and Daisy Constance Dement. Homer Dement Gandy married, at age 20, Mary Gertrude Pence, age 22, daughter of George Otwell Pence and Nancy Ann Sims, on Saturday, 4 April 1914 at Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.1 Homer Dement Gandy died on 19 December 1984 at Claremont, Los Angeles County, California, at age 91 years, 1 month and 22 days.1 He was buried in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, located in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California.
     He was Merchant.
