     Pearl Emma Updegraff was born on 6 August 1893 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of George Updegraff and Hester Hettie Morris.2 Pearl Emma Updegraff married, at age 20, Ellis Samuel Brown, son of George Brown and Amanda Lewis, on Monday, 18 August 1913 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend O. S. Metzler.2 Pearl Emma Updegraff died in June 1967 at age 73 years and 9 months.1
