Carl Simon Waltz

     Carl Simon Waltz was born on 5 October 1901 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of McClellan Waltz and Ellen Jane Waltz. Carl Simon Waltz married, at age 26, Helen Janette Paulhamus, age 21, daughter of Sylvester William Paulhamus and Bessie Roseanna Kinley, on Tuesday, 26 June 1928.1 Carl Simon Waltz died on 12 December 1957 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 56 years, 2 months and 7 days.2 He was buried on 16 December 1957 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2

Carl S. Waltz, 56, of Linden RD 1, died Thursday, December 12, 1957, in the Williamsport Hospital after a two-month illness. The husband of Helen Paulhamus Waltz, he was a member of St. John's Chapel EUB Church, where he was class leader.

Also surviving are two sons, Harry J., at home, and Lloyd D., of this city; four daughters Mrs. Forrest Flook, of this city; Mrs. Robert English, of Salladasburg, and Mrs. Amos Ward of Linden RD 1; a brother, Truman, of this city, and six grandcildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 pm at the Knight undertaking establishment. The Rev. Thomas R.
Springman, pastor of the Lycoming charge of the EUB Church, will officiate. Assisting will be the Rev. Herbert Entz, a former pastor of the charge. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
