Vivian E. Beidler was born on 9 August 1911 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,3 She was the daughter of Charles H. Beidler and Sophia Doney.2 Vivian E. Beidler first married Earl R. Sholder, son of John H. Sholder and Myrtle E. Hill, circa 1931.2 Vivian E. Beidler married a second time Malcolm Durward Wagner, son of Reuben Wagner and Sarah Ann Tomb, circa 1942.2 Vivian E. Beidler married a third time Max C. Dieffenderfer circa 1977.1,2 Vivian E. Beidler died on 1 June 2009 at Manor Care Health Center, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 97 years, 9 months and 23 days.2,3 She was buried on 4 June 2009 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Ted Van Schoick.2
She was widowed at age 64 by the death of Malcolm on 11 December 1975.4,2 Her obituary was published on 3 June 2009 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Vivian E. Dieffenderfer, 97, formerly of the Valley and Williamsport, passed away, Monday, June 1, 2009, in Jersey Shore Manor Care.
She was born Aug. 9, 1911, in Williamsport, the daughter of Charles and Sophia Doney Beidler.
Vivian was a former member of the Newberry United Methodist Church and a member of its church choir.
She was the widow of her late husbands, Earl Sholder, Malcolm D. Wagner and Max C. Dieffenderfer.
Vivian was a homemaker most of her life. She was an excellent seamstress, known for her wedding gowns.
She was also an accomplished violinist.
Vivian is survived by a daughter, Lois M. Koch of Jersey Shore; a son, Maurice (Shawanna) Sholder of Oval; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Howard Welshans in 1961, one brother, Howard Beidler and a sister, Elizabeth Meckley.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Manor Care Health Services, 1008 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
Vivian's Life Celebration will begin with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009, at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, followed by services at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ted Van Schoick officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.2 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Vivian's last known residence was Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
