Calvin F. Cohick was born on 29 November 1925 at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Lloyd Montgomery Cohick and Sarah Emma Confair.1 Calvin F. Cohick married, at age 49, Carolyn V. Sholder, daughter of Floyd Bixler Sholder and Helen Elizabeth Shaffer, on Thursday, 30 October 1975.1 Calvin F. Cohick died on 29 July 2007 at Manor Care Health Center, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 81 years and 8 months.1 He was buried on 2 August 2007 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
His obituary was published on 31 July 2007 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Calvin F. Cohick, 81, of 1520 Warren Ave., died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Manor Care South following a brief illness.
He and his wife, the former Carolyn V. Sholder, observed their 31st wedding anniversary on Oct. 30, 2006.
Calvin was a Navy veteran of World War II and received a Silver Star. He was a member of V. F. W. Post 7863, DuBoistown, a member of the Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club, enjoyed playing golf and watching professional wrestling.
He had worked for Raub Supply, the former Avco Lycoming, High Steel and retired from the Williamsport Home as a maintenance supervisor.

Surviving, in addition to his wife are stepsons, Larry A. Myers Jr. of Jersey Shore and Robert C. Myers Sr. of Unityville; stepdaughters, Cheryl A. Janson of Leesville, La., and Gail S. Myers of Montoursville; sister, Gladys Sweikart of Jersey Shore, seven step grandchildren, including a special step granddaughter, who he helped to raise, Melanie L. Miller and one step great grandson.
He was predeceased by brothers, Clair and Clifton and a sister, Kathryn Smith.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Knight-Confer’s, 1914 Memorial Ave. There will be a visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Twin Hills Memorial Park. The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in his name be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 East Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.1
