     Charles Stanley Gehr was born on 21 May 1911 at Warrensville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He was the son of George Franklin Gehr and Anna Belle Calvert.2,3 Charles Stanley Gehr married Evelyn Florence Ault, daughter of James Clyde Ault and Mildred Rosa Updegraff, in 1954.2 Charles Stanley Gehr died on 26 August 2002 at Sycamore Manor, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 91 years, 3 months and 5 days.1 He was buried on 29 August 2002 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Paul C. Murphy.2

     Charles Stanley Gehr was listed in Weldon Jacob Gehr's obituary on 10 May 2002 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as his brother.3 His obituary was published on 27 August 2002 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     C. Stanley Gehr, 91, of 801 Pine St., Montoursville, died Aug. 26, 2002, at Sycamore Manor. Born May 21, 1911, in Warrensville, he was the son of George F. and Annabelle Calvert Gehr.

     Mr. Gehr was married 48 years to the former Evelyn Ault.

     Serving in the Navy Sea Bees, he was a WWII veteran. He served in Alaska and the Pacific Theater. He had been employed as a wirestrander for the former Bethlehem Steel and after retiring he worked for Nevill s Flowers in Montoursville. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

     Surviving besides his wife is a brother, George L. of Warrensville. He was predeceased by brothers, Brady, Sydney and Weldon.

     Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Drive, Montoursville, with his pastor, Rev. Paul C. Murphy, officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 10-11 a.m. Thursday. Arrangements by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.2
