Richard E. Lockcuff1,2,3

     Richard E. Lockcuff was born on 23 October 1924 at Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,3 He was the son of William Jonathan Lockcuff and Grace Kittie Young.1 Richard E. Lockcuff married, at age 30, Cora G. Miller on Saturday, 25 June 1955.1 Richard E. Lockcuff died on 23 March 2001 at Trout Run, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 76 years and 5 months.2,3 He was buried on 26 March 2001 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Judith P. Hulslander and Reverend Harry R. Yoder.1
     Richard E. Lockcuff was also known as Dick.1 He was employed by Avco Lycoming for 34 years Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 His obituary was published on 25 March 2001 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Richard E. Lockcuff, 76, of 7059 State Route 184 Highway, Trout Run (White Pine), died Friday, March 23, 2001 at home.

     Born Oct. 23, 1924 in Linden, he was a son of William L. and Grace Young Lockcuff.

     Dick was an Army veteran of the South Pacific theatre during World War II, having received a purple heart and numerous other medals. He was a member of George Pepperman Post 36, American Legion, Jersey Shore, and LeRoy Buck Post 7863, V.F.W., DuBoistown. An avid hunter and fisherman, Dick belonged to the Lone Walnut Hunting Club.

     Having worked for Avco Lycoming for 34 years, he was a member of the U.A.W. Union Local 787.

     Dick and his wife, the former Cora G. Miller, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary last June 25.

     Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Kim M. Lockcuff at home, and Sherry L. Sheddy of Salladasburg; a brother Lewis and a sister, Sylvia Belton, both of Linden; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

     Preceding him in death were a son, Richard E. Lockcuff, II; brothers Dallas, Jim, Paul and William; and sisters Merna Marshall, Edith Bryan and Grace Goodbrod.

     Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Linden United Methodist Church with the Revs. Judith Hulslander and Harry R. "Bud" Yoder officiating. Friends may call at the church from noon to service time Monday. Burial with military honors will be in Wildwood Cemetery. The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorials be given to either Hope Missions, P.O. Box 230, Cogan Station, Pa., 17728 or the Cleveland Clinic Heart Foundation, P.O. Box 73662, Cleveland, Ohio, 44193-1273. Arrangements by Sanders Mortuary.1
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Richard's last known residence was Trout Run, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3

     Sylvia C. Lockcuff's obituary on 1 February 2002 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, stated that Richard E. Lockcuff was her brother and preceeded her in death.2
