John Leonard Reeser was born on 4 September 1918.1 He was the son of Ezra J. Reeser and Tracey E. Kiess. John Leonard Reeser died on 12 January 2000 at age 81 years, 4 months and 8 days.1
His obituary was published on 13 January 2000 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
John Leonard Reeser, 81, a former city resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Valley View Nursing Center on Warrensville Road. He had resided at the home since 1992 and previously lived in Williamsport since 1946.
He had been employed by Stroehmann Bakery and previously worked on the family farm in rural Salladasburg. He attended St. John's Methodist Chapel in Anthony Township.
Born Sept. 4, 1918, in Anthony Township, he was a son of Ezra J. and Tracy E. Kiess Reeser.
Surviving are two sisters, Hazel R. Schuyler of Turbotville RR 1 and Esther M. Hensler, a Valley View resident, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Jams D. Reeser, who died in 1991.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Brooks, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, with the Rev. James H. Gold, interim pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Turbotville, officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Chapel Cemetery, Linden RR. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday.2
