     Charles Edward Thompson was born on 12 November 1908 at Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.1 He was the son of Walter Tabb Thompson and Minor Mae Lawler. Charles Edward Thompson married, at age 27, Erma Lois Morrison, age 22, daughter of Lloyd E. Morrison and Josie Irene Zumwalt, on Sunday, 30 August 1936 at Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon.2 Charles Edward Thompson died in September 1987 at age 78 years and 9 months.1
     He was in the Merchant Marines, later a highway engineer.
