Ansel R. Updegraff was born in March 1846 at Indiana.1 He was the son of George Carver Updegraff and Jane Dunn Harrison. Ansel R. Updegraff first married Angeline York circa 1877. Ansel R. Updegraff married a second time, at age 40, Hannah M. Yoke on Wednesday, 16 June 1886 at Clark County, Illinois. Ansel R. Updegraff died in 1926 at age 79 years.1 He was buried in the Washington Street (Casey) Cemetery, located in Casey, Clark County, Illinois.1
