     Robert Rawls Updegraff was born on 17 April 1889 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah Territory, USA.1 He was the son of John F. Updegraff and Luella Rawls. Robert Rawls Updegraff married, at age 25, Florence C. Engstrom, age 26, daughter of John P. Engstrom and Emma Lecraw, on Saturday, 18 April 1914.2 Robert Rawls Updegraff died on 1 November 1977 at Scarsdale, Westchester County, New York, at age 88 years, 6 months and 15 days.1 He was buried in the Kensico Cemetery, located in Valhalla, Westchester County, New York.2
