     Charles Else was born on 6 September 1809.1 He was the son of Jacob Else and Elizabeth [—?—].1 Charles Else first married Fannie Bard circa 1845.1 Charles Else married a second time, at age 46, Mary C. Updegraff, daughter of Samuel Updegraff and Rachel Cloyd, on Tuesday, 2 October 1855.1 Charles Else died on 5 May 1870 at Vineland, Cumberland County, New Jersey, at age 60 years, 7 months and 29 days.1
