Wilhelm Marshall Kiess married Sarah Ann Eckard, daughter of Johann Eckard and Sophia Miller, circa 1876.2 Wilhelm Marshall Kiess married Ida Mulliner, daughter of Peter Mulliner and Mary Ann Witchey, in 1895.2 Wilhelm Marshall Kiess died on 15 November 1909 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 56 years, 7 months and 7 days. He was buried in the Anthony Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
