Gottlieb A. Waltz was born on 29 June 1850 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Johannes Waltz and Maria Schiedt. Gottlieb A. Waltz married Anna Maria Bower, daughter of Ambrose Bower and Catharine Fincher, circa 1886. Gottlieb A. Waltz died on 6 March 1917 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 66 years, 8 months and 6 days.1 He was buried in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
