Claire L. Losch was born on 10 September 1916 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Clarence Lester Losch and Leah Edith Mahaffey.1 Claire L. Losch died on 22 January 2002 at Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 85 years, 4 months and 12 days.1
Her obituary was published on 24 January 2002 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Claire L. "Honey" Lowrey, 85, of 2320 Reed St., Williamsport, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, in Sycamore Manor. She was the widow of Delbert M. Lowrey, who died in 1979.
Born Sept. 10, 1916, in Hepburn Township, she was a daughter of Clarence L. and L. Edith Mahaffey Losch.
Honey was a Presbyterian. She managed the Revco Drug Store in the former Grant Plaza. She enjoyed playing bingo and listening to audio books on cassette.
Surviving are three daughters, Patricia L. (Stephen) Brockway of South Williamsport, Sally J. Lowrey, with whom she lived and Cynthia L. (James) Ashley of Henrietta, NY; four grandchildren, Laura L. (Brian) Shook, Scott A. Brockway, Matthew R. (Rachel) Sherman and Jonathan A. Sherman and two great-grandchildren, Keven A. and Holly M. Shook. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary G. Bailey and a brother, William C. Losch.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. William J. Younger, Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at Sanders' from 10-11 a.m. Friday.1
