Lydia A. Waltz was born on 17 June 1859 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Conrad Waltz and Dorothea Wolf. Lydia A. Waltz married John J. Metzger, son of Jacob Metzger and Mary Hyde, in 1882.1 Lydia A. Waltz died on 20 January 1930 at age 70 years, 7 months and 3 days. She was buried in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
