Rentz married Elizabeth Fessler, daughter of George Fessler and Catherine [—?—], circa 1879. Jacob H. Rentz died on 25 August 1909 at Warrensville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 55 years, 5 months and 18 days.1 He was buried in the Edgewood Cemetery, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
