Edward D. Aderhold was born on 17 November 1928 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Chester D. Aderhold and Charlotte E. Whiles.1 Edward D. Aderhold died on 10 February 2004 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 75 years, 2 months and 24 days.1
His obituary was published on 12 February 2004 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Edward D. Aderhold, 75, of 2023 Carlton Terrace, Lot 8, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at his home.
He and his wife, the former A. Alice Bennett, celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on Dec. 27, 2003.
Ed retired from the City of Williamsport Streets & Parks department following 29 years of service.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Bravery and three Bronze Stars. He was a lifetime member of Leroy O. Buck Post 7863 V.F.W, a 32nd degree mason at John F. Laedlein Lodge 707 F. & A.M. and the Zafar Grotto where he played bass guitar in the string band.

Surviving are his sons, Edward L. and Brian K., both of Seattle, Wash., Robert of White Horse, N.Y., David Mayer of South Williamsport and Jonathan C. and Steven A. Mayer, both of city; daughters, Alisa A. Robson of city and Deborah L. Aderhold and Donna Gumm, both of Seattle; brothers, Charles Aderhold & Harold Butler, both of city and William Butler of Virginia; sisters, Louise Bastress, Margaret Dunkleberger and Jane Biedler all of city; 21 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. His step-father, Rex Butler, a brother, William Aderhold, and a sister, Geraldine Sypher predeceased him.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Knight-Confers, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. Ronald O. Doan, hospice chaplain, officiating. Interment in Stoltz Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Susquehanna Hospice, c/o Providence Health System Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport or the Alzheimer’s Association, 71 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, 18701.1
