     Charles W. Kurtz was born in April 1863 at Warrensville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 He was the son of George Kurtz and Elizabeth Anna Wolf.3 Charles W. Kurtz married, at age 22, Lydia M. Miller, age 18, daughter of Harris Miller, on Thursday, 24 December 1885 at Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend J. P. Zimmerman.4
