     Carl Alvin Waltz was born on 12 November 1919 at Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Lloyd Stanley Waltz and Emily Jane Young. Carl Alvin Waltz married, at age 31, Ruth B. Miller on Sunday, 8 July 1951 at Cammal Community Church, Cammal, McHenry Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Cleon L. Haight. Carl Alvin Waltz died on 16 May 1990 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 70 years, 6 months and 4 days.1 He was buried on 19 May 1990 in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

CARL A. WALTZ

Carl A. Waltz, 70, of Williamsport RD 2, died at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 1990, in Williamsport Hospital, following a short illness.

He retired in 1983 from Fairfield Manufacturing. He was employed by the former Armour Leather Company for 21 years and by Litton Industries for 11 years.

He was a member of Buchanan Baptist Church, where he was treasurer of Booster Bible Class and was a former deacon, trustee and Sunday School treasurer.

He and his wife, the former Ruth B. Miller, celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary last July 8.

Born November 12, 1919, in Linden, he was a son of Lloyd S. and Emily J. Young Waltz.

Surviving, besides his wife, are a son, Lloyd E., of Linden RD 2; three daughters, Miss Cecilia A., of Salladasburg, Mrs. Carla R. Bower, of Muncy RD 5, and Mrs. Lynnea L. Kelley, of Windber RD 2; a sister, Mrs. Mildred P. Lockcuff, of Williamsprt RD 2, and eight grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Knight-Confer's, 1914 Memorial Avenue, with the Rev. Robert W. Regan, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Buchanan Cemetery, Williamsport RD 2. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The family will provide the flowers.
